Your questions, answered

How is my identity verified?

Your identity is verified once through a secure, encrypted process to confirm you are a real, unique human. We never share your raw identity documents with the apps you use.

Does auth.ng store my identity documents?

We store a verified status, not your raw documents or ID numbers. Everything is encrypted at rest, and app-facing records only ever see a claim, never the source data.

What happens when I revoke access?

The app immediately loses the ability to read that claim. Anything it already stored is between you and that app; we stop supplying new data at once.

Can an app request sensitive data?

Only with a specific, named reason shown at consent time, and only if you approve it. You can always say no and still use the app where the platform allows it.

Is my data shared outside Nigeria?

Verification happens through our secure, encrypted pipeline. Claim delivery to an app follows that app's own region, and we tell you which one before you approve.

Terms & full privacy policy

Our full terms of service and privacy policy are being finalised alongside legal review. In the meantime, the principles above (consent first, data minimization, claim-based sharing) are binding on how auth.ng operates today. Reach us at [email protected] with any question.

Security

Verification data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to raw documents is limited and logged, and every claim shared with an app is traceable back to the consent that authorised it. A full security whitepaper is coming with our public launch.
